News Event - EU Project

Last year, BARWS was invited to participate in a Hungarian led proposal for a transnational project under the Erasmus+ KA2 – Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices programme. The project titled ‘Back to learning – developing key competence of adults for high quality learning opportunities’ was approved in July 2018 and began in October 2018 with the final meeting to be held in June 2020.

Adult education agencies from six EU countries (Hungary, Spain, Malta, Germany, Estonia and Ireland) are participating and each will host a transnational project meeting. In December, the Scheme Manager and the QQI Co-ordinator attended the first meeting in Potsdam, Germany which provided an overview of good practice in the delivery of adult basic education programmes at a Learning Centre in Potsdam.

We look forward to hosting the second project meeting in the CDETB Ballymun Adult Education Centre in Ballymun in March 2019.
